We’re now two days past Hobbit Day, and so officially two days into autumn, and for once Georgia weather seems to be with the program. It’s crisp and clear and cool outside—perfect weather for writing, and hoodie-wearing, and cappuccino-drinking (see image right). Perfect weather, too, for NaNoWriMo-planning.
It’s hard to believe it’s already that time of year again, but it’s only one week now until the NaNoWriMo site relaunches, and once that happens it’s amazing how time flies. This year it’ll probably go even more quickly than usual, since I’ve set a personal goal of finishing up The Sword Unsheathed and getting it out to beta readers before NaNoWriMo begins. Accordingly, I’ve refrained from giving much thought to my NaNo project so far, but I do have an idea, and I have to say I’m pretty excited about it. Hopefully I’ll be able to reveal more details as we draw closer to November.
Anybody else planning on NaNoing this year? What will you be working on?
In other news, I’ll be hosting a UK-only giveaway of His Own Good Sword starting tomorrow, the 25th, and running through October 5th. Head on over to Goodreads for more information.
