And now for a bit of shameless self-promotion! Today is the day I’m officially launching Fly Casual,* my graphic design service for independent authors and small presses. Primarily its purpose is to provide indie authors with affordable cover designs (for both print and ebook releases), but Fly Casual will also offer web graphics and interior formatting services.

I’ve been doing freelance graphic design for nearly ten years now (some samples of my recent work are available on the site), and I’m excited to put it to use in the indie publishing sphere. I don’t think indie authors should have to sacrifice aesthetic appeal for affordability when it comes to their book covers; my hope is to offer outstanding design work that isn’t outrageously expensive.
